New Releases - April 27th 2015

As April comes to an end and we start to look towards May and London Comic Con, we have ourselves a busy end to the month in terms of new releases, so brace yourselves!

Let's start out with the debut anime release from new distributor Animatsu Entertainment, namely Gatchaman Crowds, which arrives as a Complete Series Collection on both DVD and Blu-ray today. You can check out our thoughts via this review of the release.

Meanwhile, Manga Entertainment have a big hitter of their own in the form of Toei Animation's 3D CG Harlock: Space Pirate, which arrives in DVD and DVD/Blu-ray Steelbook Collector's Edition SKUs today. Of course, we have a review for your delectation, and you can find it over here.

Next up we have MVM Entertainment, with the DVD release of the Sankarea: Undying Love Complete Series Collection finally making it to the UK after a long, long delay. Was it worth the wait? We have some thoughts in our review of the release.

Finally in anime releases, the previous DVD release of The Ambition of Oda Nobuna's Complete Series Collection is now complemented by its slightly delayed release on Blu-ray. Our review of the series is still available for your perusal, of course.

It's a slightly quieter week for new manga, although we do have new volumes of the likes of Maria The Virgin Witch and Noragami to look forward to, as well as the Oreimo: Kuroneko spin-off manga series.

Next week is (aside from sporting a Bank Holiday Monday) far, far busier for new manga, while new anime releases consist of the Blu-ray SKU of Log Horizon and a Complete Series Collection treatment for Shana's second season. Until then, take care!
