Kyoto Animation's adaptation of popular manga series A Silent Voice tackles many difficult and important issues, but one of its stand-out features is its treatment of its female lead, the hard of hearing Shoko Nishimiya.
Given its subject matter, making the film accessible to those who are hard of hearing themselves is clearly hugely beneficial, and with that in mind the film's distributor Anime Limited have teamed up with Showcase Cinemas to offer up an evening of Hard of Hearing subtitled screenings of the film.
You'll be able to find these screenings on Tuesday, 16th May 2017 at 7PM, where you'll be able to watch the film in the following locations:
- Bluewater
- Bristol CDL
- Cardiff
- Leeds
- Leicester
- Nottingham
- Peterborough
- Reading
- Southampton
You can find and book tickets for these screenings from the Showcase Cinemas web site.
