Studio Gaina announce Gunbuster 3

Anime news network have reported that Studio Gaina [formerly the fukushima division of legendary Animation studio GAINAX] will be commencing work on the third entry to the Aim for the Top! series (known in the west as Gunbuster).

Gaina also announced that work had started on the long delayed Gainax film Uru in Blue, with a projected release date of 2022. The film, which is to be directed by Hideaki Anno, with a script by writer Hiroyuki Yamaga and with executive production by Yoshiuki Sadamoto, has had a very troubled development history, being in an dout of development as far back as 1992.

Studio Gaina however have supplied no details as to production staff or cast, stating that further information will be given in due time.
