After a decidedly slow start and a few bumpy spells upon the way after its launch last month, the Under the Dog Kickstarter project has now successfully reached (and indeed smashed through) its $580,000 funding goal.
At the time of writing, the project has now raised around $650,000 with a little over two days of the campaign still to run.
The project was set to continue even if the Kickstarter funding project had failed, with funding offers received to turn the series into a full 26-episode series, although the creatove staff of the project (which is directed by Masahiro Ando) are currently looking to turn the property into a three-part OVA followed by theatrical films at present - it appears that these additional projects may also be crowdfunding despite the creative staff having received offers to fund these projects more traditionally.
You can still back the project, or find out more, at the Under the Dog Kickstarter page.
