The phrase "replacement programme" can conjur nightmarish scenes of massive issues and hordes of angry customers, so thankfully in the grand scheme of things this is very much a case where the headline sounds more terrifying than the actual truth of the matter.
This truth is something you may have already spotted if you've watched our Under the Covers video for Univeral Pictures' Seraph of the End Season One Part One Collector's Edition - we received two copies, both with different text on the spine of their outer boxes.
Needless to say, this triggered an investigation into what was going on by Universal Pictures themselves, and it's now been confirmed that a batch of boxes that should have been used for the German release of this Collector's Edition somehow found their way into use with UK stock.
If you've bought a copy of this release from a UK retailer, and the spine of the box has the wording "Seraph of the End Vol. 1 Vampire Reign" upon it, then you've received a copy which was inadvertently shipped with a German case (although with all-English contents inside).
If you are an affected customer, then Universal Pictures will happily replace the incorrect box entirely free - here are the details of how to register your incorrect copy:
Customers can email us for a replacement box. They need to email enquiriesuk@nbcuni.com
Please put Seraph in the subject header and send a photo, scan or screen grab of proof of purchase together with a photo of the box spine if they can and we will sort a replacement.
This issue should only affect some initial pre-ordered Blu-ray copies of the Collector's Edition, so DVD editions and copies in retail should all be unaffected. If your spine has the text "Seraph of the End Season One Part One" on it, then your copy has shipped with the correct UK box.
