Written by A. H. on 05 Apr 2015

Yesterday was a busy one for new manga license announcements, with Yen Press all but spraying licenses upon an enthusiastic crowd at Sakura-con in Seattle, while Kodansha Comics had plenty to show off during their panel at Anime Boston. So, let's see what the two of them had to show off.

Let's begin with Kodansha Comics USA, who unveiled the following licenses:

Ninja Slayer Kills - Not to be confused with the Machine of Vengeance subtitled manga licensed by Vertical Comics, this other Ninja Slayer manga has been picked up for a western release.

- Cat Diary: Yon & Mu - From Gyo author Junji Ito, this series tells the story of a horror writer and his fiance's cats. No, really.

- Devil Survivor - Another video game adaptation, based on this Shin Megami Tensei title.

Also confirmed by the publisher is that the sixth and seventh omnibus editions of Vinland Saga will arrive in September and December respectively, while Attack on Titan's sixteenth volume will get a special edition release with an additional dust jacket and unique colour art.

Now, over to Seattle, and Yen Press' massive slate of new licenses from Sakura-con:

Yowamushi Pedal - This cycling sports manga will be released in two-volume omnibus editions.

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun - This romantic comedy revolving around a manga artists enjoyed a hugely popular anime adaptation, and will be coming to the west in its original form at an unspecified future date.

Aldnoah Zero Season One - The manga adaptation of this mecha anime series has also been snapped up for an English language release.

- Handa-kun - This spin-off of the Barakamon manga series (also available through Yen Press) will be getting a digital release by the publisher.

Today's Kerberos - This supernatural harem comedy is also slated for a digital release.
