Yo-Kai Watch's UK DVD release delayed until later in 2017

Previously slated for July release

Written by A. H. on 10 May 2017

Just a couple of weeks ago, we appraised you of Manga Entertainment's full line-up for the third quarter of 2017 - a line-up which had the first season of Yo-kai Watch lined up for a release on Monday, 17th July.

However, two weeks is a long time in the UK anime business, and that plan has now changed - in an e-mail communication yesterday, the distributor confirmed that the UK DVD release of the Yo-Kai Watch Season 1 Collection has now been delayed until an unspecified date later in the year, citing the reason for the delay as "ongoing licensing discussions".

The acquisition was originally announced in February with a view towards a May release for season one, but needless to say we'll keep you appraised of any developments here on the site and via the UK Anime Network release calendar.
